While attending a small social gathering at Sister C.'s, Sister Whitney sang a song of Zion in the Adamic language, which was then interpreted by Sister Eliza R. Snow. The event occurred in Salt Lake City in September 1854.

Fuller account of this event (in the witness’s own words):

I was present at a social gathering at Sister C.'s, where Sister Whitney sang a song of Zion in the Adamic language, and Sister Eliza interpreted. I name this circumstance from the fact that you were spoken of, and a special request was made by the company that all should be remembered to you in my first letters, which I promised to see done. We had a very pleasant time, and the Spirit of the Lord was with us, and we felt to rejoice in the truth.

In Their Own Words

“Sister Whitney sung a song of Zion in the Adamic language, and sister Eliza interpreted. I name this circumstance from the fact that you were spoken of, and a special request was made by the company that all should be remembered to you in my first letters, which I promised to see done. — Millennial Star 16:50”
