An unnamed woman, not a member of the Church, testified at a meeting in Belfast, Ireland, in August 1899, that she had been suffering from 'brain fever' for two months. She reported that she was instantly healed when Elder Nelson placed his hands on her head, and she had remained well since.

Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 61, No. 34, 24 August 1899, p. 541):

A woman, not a member of the Church, testified that she had been suffering from brain fever for two months, and that she was instantly healed when Elder Nelson placed his hands upon her head, and she had remained well since.

In Their Own Words

“We had a meeting on Wednesday night in Belfast. One lady, not a member of the Church, testified to being healed by the laying on of hands. I asked what her trouble was, she said ‘brain fever,’ I asked how long she had been ailing, she answered ‘two months.’ I then asked if she was healed at once, and she replied that as soon as Elder Nelson put his hands on her head she was healed and had continued well ever since. — Millennial Star 61:34”
