Apostle George Teasdale bore a personal testimony during a district meeting in Hindley, England, affirming that he had received answers to his prayers and that God had revealed Himself from the heavens to him personally.
Fuller account of this event (as retold in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 52, No. 1 (January 6, 1890), p. 11):
He had been taught when young that the canon of Scripture was full; but he bore testimony that God had again revealed Himself from the heavens, and that He had heard and answered his prayers. He had been told that the day of revelation was past, but he knew better, for he had received revelation for himself. He had been told that the day of miracles was past, but he knew that was not true, for he had seen the power of God manifested in his own experience.
In Their Own Words
“He had been taught when young that the canon of Scripture was full; but he bore testimony that God had again revealed Himself from the heavens, and that He had heard and answered his prayers. — Millennial Star 52:1”
