Apostle George Teasdale reported at the Manchester Conference that he had been suffering from a spell of sickness, but that the Lord had answered his prayer and healed him, allowing him to attend the conference.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 52, No. 13, 31 March 1890, p. 203):
I have been suffering from a spell of sickness, but the Lord has answered my prayers and healed me, and I am thankful to be able to be with you.
In Their Own Words
“After the exercises, Apostle Teasdale addressed the Saints. Said he felt grateful to our heavenly Father for his restoration through a spell of sickness, but that the Lord had answered his prayer and healed him, so he was able to attend that Conference. — Millennial Star 52:13”
