While serving as a missionary in Tonga, John Groberg was caught in a severe storm while traveling by boat. He was swept overboard and spent an entire night in the open ocean, struggling to survive. During this ordeal, he reported hearing an audible voice or impression telling him to 'hold on,' which provided the strength and encouragement to persist until he was eventually washed ashore on a distant island where he was reunited with his companions.
