Ferrell N. Beckstead was a faithful Latter-day Saint missionary who, after serving as a missionary in the British Mission, was appointed president of the Ulster District (Ireland)—one of the districts through which the restored gospel was carried to the people of Ireland in the early twentieth century. His appointment is recorded in the Millennial Star. Brother Beckstead's life is a faith-promoting witness of the missionaries who, sent out from Zion, carried the restored gospel to the isles of the sea and to the people of the British Isles in the great latter-day mission.

According to the Church History Biographical Database, Elder Ferrell Neeley Beckstead served his mission in the British Mission from November 6, 1928, to September 28, 1930. During this period, he served in both the London District and the Ulster District in Northern Ireland, eventually presiding over the Ulster District.
