While preaching the Gospel and baptizing in Scandinavia, Elder Charles Widerborg was brought before a court and imprisoned multiple times. Despite this, he testified that he was always kindly treated and never lacked for anything needful during his incarcerations.

Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 28, No. 13, 31 March 1866, p. 205):

Elder Charles Widerborg, who has been laboring in the Scandinavian Mission, has been imprisoned several times for the truth's sake, but he says he has always been kindly treated, and has never lacked for anything needful.

In Their Own Words

“In Scandinavia I preached the Gospel and baptized secretly until I was brought before the court and imprisoned. I have been in prison often for the truth, but was always kindly treated, and can, like the rest of the brethren, bear my testimony that I have never yet lacked for anything needful. — Millennial Star 28:13”
