Little Jack and his sister, Mugsy, lived in poverty, but through the intervention of Dr. Bob and Nurse Kitty at the hospital, they were briefly brought into a better life. When Mugsy became terminally ill, Jack continued to pray and wait for Dr. Bob to answer his call to the slums. Upon Mugsy's death, Jack was eventually taken to the same hospital ward and died on Christmas Day, passing into the care of the 'great Physician' to join his sister.
In Their Own Words
“And as the Christmas Day dawned, the great Physician—the greatest of all physicians—took little Jack to that better hospital, beyond the veil. — The Young Woman's Journal 36:12”
