Bigler, Amy: A Legacy of Faith (1860s)
Amy Bigler, daughter of the prominent pioneer Jacob G. Bigler, grew up in the shadows of the Nephi Tabernacle, witnessing the growth of Zion firsthand. She was a witness to the sacrifices of her parents and the spiritual manifestations that attended the early Utah settlements during the 1860s. Her life was a bridge between the first generation of pioneers and the coming century, carrying forward the testimonies of those who knew the Prophet. She often recounted the stories of divine providence that sustained her family during the lean years of early settlement in Juab County.
