Lee Udall Bennion: A Latter-day Saint Painter of Dreams (Spring City, Utah, 1990s)

Lee Udall Bennion (born 1956) is a Latter-day Saint fine artist who makes her home in Spring City, Utah. Her painting 'Dreaming'—a human face with closed eyes surrounded by a patchwork of images—was featured in the Church History exhibit 'Make Known His Wonderful Works,' and her portrait 'Snow Queen: Portrait of Adah' (1992) is among her well-known works. She paints from the life of faith and the inner landscape of the spirit, carrying forward a family tradition in which sacred art and devoted testimony have long gone hand in hand. Her work is a faith-promoting witness that the Lord gives the gift of vision to His daughters, and that the dreams and inward glimpses of the faithful can be made visible on canvas to bless and strengthen the Saints.
