Eliza R. Snow - Spirit of Healing Manifested in Relief Society - Sick Healed Through Faith

In a discourse to the Fourteenth Ward Relief Society on May 26, 1868, Eliza R. Snow taught a remarkable healing principle: 'If we are united we shall have the spirit of healing, so that the sick shall be brought to us, we shall lay our hands upon them & they shall be raised up.' Snow testified that when sisters unite their faith and prayers, the spirit of healing operates—enabling them to receive the sick, lay hands upon them, and heal them. She taught that this healing power was a direct result of the Spirit of God operating through united faith, and that sisters exercised this divine gift as part of the Relief Society's spiritual mission.
