David Whitmer (1805–1888) was one of the Three Witnesses of the Book of Mormon: in June 1829, near his father's farm in Fayette, New York, he saw an angel display the golden plates and heard a voice from heaven command the witnesses to testify, and he reaffirmed that testimony for nearly sixty years until his death in Richmond, Missouri. The LDS Witness archive holds 35 documented accounts involving David Whitmer — including Heavenly Manifestations, Acts of God / Intervention, Angels, spanning the 1820s through the 1910s, in USA and United States — each one a documented experience of divine power.
