William Derbyshire recounts that about two years ago, his wife's sister became critically ill and doctors gave up hope for her recovery. Derbyshire asked the family to have sufficient faith and consented to bring elders to administer to her. After being anointed with oil and blessed, she began breathing more easily, recovered rapidly, and returned to playing within a week.
In Their Own Words
“About two years ago, my wife had a little sister who was taken very sick, and the doctor gave up hopes of her recovery. The family was very distressed. I told them if they had sufficient faith to call on the servants of the Lord, the child would get well again. They at last consented for me to bring the elders, and no sooner had they anointed her with oil and laid hands on her head, than she began to breathe easier, and from that moment she recovered rapidly, and in less than a week she was playing around again, and to-day she is the healthiest child in the family. — Millennial Star 77:20”
