Henry William Bigler served a mission to the Sandwich Islands (Hawaii) from 1850 to 1854. During his four-year mission, he labored to convert and teach the Hawaiian people about the restored gospel. His safe passage across the ocean, preservation of health in a foreign climate, and fruitful missionary labors testified to divine guidance and protection in his apostolic calling.
