A woman, unable to have children, felt inspired to visit the Logan Temple. Despite opposition and a carriage accident on the way, she received a blessing that promised she would have children. She later became the mother of three girls.

In Their Own Words

“One day the impression came to me that I should go to the Logan Temple, in order that I might receive a blessing there. I told my husband what I desired to do, and while he approved of my going to a temple, he suggested that I go to the temple in Salt Lake City, as it was much nearer than the Logan Temple. I told him that I felt that I must go to Logan. He finally consented, and we started on our journey. The animal we were driving was as tame and docile as a kitten. He had never acted mean in his life; but as we entered the street on which the temple is built he suddenly began to act like one possessed. He reared and kicked furiously, and finally demolished the vehicle. I felt that morning that the powers of darkness were arrayed against me, and I could not refrain from weeping. I felt that I was being hindered from performing a duty. With tear-stained eyes I proceeded to the temple, and there I received a blessing under the hands of the Lord’s servants. I was told that I would be blessed with children, who would be a crown of joy to me and an honor to the Church of Christ. I returned home with a light heart, and in due time the promise was fulfilled. I am now the mother of three beautiful girls, and I thank the Lord for the blessing I received in the Logan Temple.”
