A young lady in the Church, suffering from prostration and alarming emaciation, requested baptism for the health of her body. Elder M. H. Hardy performed the baptism, and she subsequently gained health and strength, becoming robust.

Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 37, No. 16, 19 April 1875):

A young lady in the Church, suffering from prostration and alarming emaciation, requested baptism for the health of her body. Elder M. H. Hardy performed the baptism, and she subsequently gained health and strength, becoming robust.

In Their Own Words

“A young lady (sister) having suffered for some time with prustration and alarming emaciation desired baptism for the reatoration of her health. I attended to the ordinance according to her request and faith, she immediately began to amend and in a few weeks was not only strong but robust, in perfect health, and to-day isa living witness of the fruits of the Gospel and glorifies God. — Millennial Star 37:16”
