Following a baptismal service at the Wapping Road School Baths in Leeds, the Spirit of the Lord was felt to be manifested profusely during the confirmation and testimony meeting.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 67, No. 4, January 26, 1905, p. 61):
On Sunday, January 15th, a baptismal service was held at the Wapping Road School baths, Leeds. Three candidates were baptized by Elder John O. Mellor. The Spirit of the Lord was manifested in a marked degree during the confirmation and testimony meeting which followed.
In Their Own Words
“It gives me much pleasure also to report that on Saturday, January 14th, 1905, a baptismal service was held at the Wapping Road School Baths, during which eighteen souls were baptized, Elder John O. Mellor officiating. Confirmation and testimony meeting followed ‘immediately after, at which the Spirit of the Lord was manifested profusely. — Millennial Star 67:4”
