Manifestation of the Hand of God in Nottingham Emigration

The author notes that an extraordinary number of Saints emigrated this season, with twenty-two people leaving from one branch alone. The author attributes this successful emigration to the Lord manifesting His hand in behalf of His people, fulfilling prophecies regarding the gathering to Zion.

The Nottingham Conference has been in a very prosperous condition during the past year. There has been an extraordinary emigration this season, as many as twenty-two persons going from one branch. It seems that the Lord has manifested his hand in behalf of many of his people, and they have gone to Zion—they have seen that God has in his mercy again set his hand to gather his people, and that he is taking them “one of a city and two of a family and bringing them to Zion.” The Saints are feeling well, and are striving to live their religion and keep the commandments of God.
