On Thursday, October 12, 1843, Joseph Smith held a prayer meeting in his room specifically to pray for the recovery of William Marks, who was sick.

“Thursday, 12th. Prayer-meeting in my room. We prayed for William Marks, who was sick.— Millennial Star 22:16”
