When Harold and his wife's baby Grace became dangerously ill and physicians could do nothing, two traveling elders came to their home. They taught the parents about the prayer of faith and the priesthood. After the elders laid their hands upon the baby's head and prayed, she was healed, leading the parents to join the Church and plan to move to Zion.
In Their Own Words
“Brother Wood and his companion laid their hands upon the baby’s head and prayed earnestly to the Divine Worker of Miracles. Harold and his wife looked on both praying earnestly and in humility. Through the power of the priesthood the prayer of Brother Wood and his companion was heard and little Grace was soon on the road to recovery. — The Young Woman's Journal 33:12”
