While crossing the plains in 1856 with Captain Willey’s hand-cart company, John Rowley was frozen to death, but was brought back to life through the administration of the Elders and the power of the Priesthood.
In Their Own Words
“He emigrated to Utah in 1856 with his widowed mother and seven children, in Captain Willey’s hand-cart company. He was frozen to death to all human appearance, while crossing the plains, and was brought to life again by the administration of the Elders and power of the Priesthood. — Millennial Star 55:48”
