J. Kimo Esplin — Answered Prayer and Visionary Confirmation

While serving as a missionary, J. Kimo Esplin was praying in a janitor's closet at the Missionary Training Center (MTC). Around that same time, a man who had not yet met Elder Esplin had a dream of him. When they later met, the man explained the dream to Elder Esplin, confirming the spiritual significance of the time Elder Esplin spent in prayer.

As a 19-year-old in the Provo Missionary Training Center, Elder J. Kimo Esplin wondered if his mission call was right. Learning Japanese was not easy. At the man’s baptism, Elder Esplin asked the man why he had stopped that day in the market. The man explained that a few weeks prior, he had seen Elder Esplin in a dream. Elder Esplin soon realized that around the time the man had that dream, he was praying in a janitor’s closet in the MTC.
