Heber J. Richards testifies that during his mission, the power of God manifested itself by providing him with strength of mind and body that he did not possess before he commenced his labors in the ministry.

Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, 24 February 1866 (Vol. 28, No. 8), p. 123):

I have felt the power of God manifest in my behalf, in giving me a strength of mind and body that I did not possess before I commenced my labors in the ministry.

In Their Own Words

“I have been laboring in the ministry for some time, and I can truly say that the Lord has been with me. I have felt his power and influence in a way that I never did before I commenced my labors in the ministry. I have been blessed with a strength of mind and body that I never possessed before, and I have been enabled to perform duties that I should have shrunk from under other circumstances. I have been enabled to stand before the people and bear testimony to the truth of the work in which I am engaged, and I have felt that the Lord was with me and that he would sustain me in all my efforts to build up his kingdom. And if I had received no other benefit than the direct manifestation of the power of God in giving me strength of mind and body that I never possessed, before commencing to labor in the ministry, I should feel well rewarded.”
