Elder Emuel Bachman, while testifying at the Nottingham conference, stated that he had observed multiple instances of healing following the laying on of hands and prayer.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 67, No. 13, 30 March 1905, p. 204):
Elder Emuel Bachman, of the Nottingham conference, writes: 'I have seen the power of God made manifest in the healing of the sick. A sister in this conference was very ill, and the doctors said she could not live. We were called to administer to her, and after we had prayed and anointed her with oil, she began to recover, and is now well.'
