A lady who was considered terminal by her physicians, with no chance of recovery, was administered to by Elder Stuart and Elder Scott. She subsequently recovered, which caused astonishment among her relatives and acquaintances, and she later joined the Church.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 57, No. 31, 1 August 1895, p. 493):
At Auchengray, Elders Stuart and Scott administered to a lady who had been given up by her physicians, and who is now recovered, to the astonishment of her relatives and acquaintances. She has since joined the Church.
In Their Own Words
“Brother Stuart reported the case of a sick lady whom the doctors had given up, saying there was no possible chance for her to recover. He and Elder Scott administered to her and she was healed, to the great astonishment of her relatives and acquaintances. She has since received the Gospel by being baptized. — Millennial Star 57:31”
