In Pendlebury, the narrator, along with Brothers Allan, Steed, and Attley, administered to Sister Chapman's daughter, who was healed.

Fuller account of this event (in the witness’s own words):

Pendlebury, Jan. 18, 1886. Dear Brother Wells,—I write to inform you of a case of healing which has occurred in our Branch. Sister Chapman’s little daughter, aged six years, was taken very ill, and for some time was in a very critical condition. She was suffering from inflammation of the lungs and other complications, and the doctor who was attending her gave no hopes of her recovery. We, however, felt that the Lord could heal her if it was His will, and so we administered to her. Brothers Allan, Steed, Attley, and myself attended to the ordinance, and we had the satisfaction of seeing the child recover from that time. She is now, I am happy to say, quite well. We feel to thank the Lord for His goodness in thus manifesting His power in our behalf. Your Brother in the Gospel, George Cook.
