Healing of Sister Hancock in Salt Lake City

Sister Hancock had an advanced, hopeless cancer. She had a dream instructing her to seek administration from Elder Elias H. Blackburn. After anointing and rebuking the disease, she was able to rise to her feet and was healed.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 65, No. 7, 12 February 1903, p. 107):
Sister Hancock, of Salt Lake City, had been suffering for a long time with a cancer, and was considered by her friends and physicians as beyond recovery. She had a dream in which she was told to send for Elder Elias H. Blackburn, and he would administer to her, and she would be healed. She sent for him, and he came and administered to her, rebuking the disease in the name of the Lord, and she arose from her bed and was healed.

“A Sister Hancock, residing in Salt Lake City, was suffering from a large cancer, which doctors had examined and pronounced hopeless. They advised her to use morphine to ease her great pain. The Lord had designed a better fate for her, however. One night she had a dream, which was plain and unmistakable. It led her to seek administration at my hands. Though it has been my lot to look upon many cancers, this was one of the worst I had ever seen. But after anointing her and rebuking the disease I saw her, through the blessing of the Lord, rise to her feet. God healed her, and she has since done much work in the house of the Lord. — Millennial Star 65:7”
