Sister Frost had been ill for a long time and was diagnosed by doctors as needing a dangerous surgical operation at a London hospital. She was in a critical state and her recovery was not expected by the physician or nurse. Elder Soren Peterson and another Elder administered to her, and she experienced a remarkable recovery, returning to better health than she had enjoyed for years.
In Their Own Words
“I desire to bear my testimony to the power of God as manifested in the healing of my wife, Eliza Palmer Frost. For a long time she had been in a very critical state of health, and after being examined by a physician, we were told that a dangerous surgical operation was absolutely necessary. She was taken to a London hospital, and the physician and nurse in charge gave us no hope of her recovery, stating that she was too weak to survive the operation. I felt that the Lord could do what man could not, and I sent for Elder Soren Peterson and his companion. The Elders laid their hands upon my wife, rebuked the disease in the name of the Lord, and invoked the blessings of God upon her, that she might be restored to health. The servants of the Lord called the two succeeding days, and their faith and prayers brought an assurance to my soul that my wife would be healed. What has been the result? With all due respect to the physician who attended Sister Frost, he was astounded at her remarkable recovery, and now admits that he did not expect to see her survive the operation (neither did the nurse who attended her, nor friends who visited her). She has been restored to her family and is now in a better state of health than she has enjoyed for years. I know that the Lord hears and answers the prayers of His servants, and I am thankful for the testimony I have received of the truth of the Gospel.”
