In Geelong, Robert S.'s daughter Eva was severely ill and reduced to skin and bone. Two eminent doctors declared her at death's door and gave her up for dead. Elders, including Burr Frost, laid hands on her and anointed her with oil; she was raised up, cured, and restored to health.
Fuller account of this event (in the witness’s own words):
On one occasion my daughter Eva was (to use a common expression) at death’s door; she was given up by two eminent doctors in Geelong, and my wife was told that the poor child could not possibly live twenty-four hours; she was nothing but skin and bone; her skin hung about her like a loose garment. Elder Burr Frost and other Elders laid hands on her, anointing her with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith saved her, and the Lord raised her up. She was perfectly cured, and in a very short time was stouter and more healthy looking than she ever was before, and has remained so ever since.
