During a cholera outbreak in Hamburg, Germany, the Latter-day Saints lived and worked alongside the victims of the disease, yet none of the Church members contracted or died from the illness.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 55, No. 51, 18 December 1893, p. 811):
In Hamburg, where the cholera has been raging so fearfully, the Saints have been preserved in a remarkable manner. Although they have lived in the midst of the disease, and have been obliged to work among the sick, not one of them has been attacked by the plague.
In Their Own Words
“It is a remarkable fact, worthy of note, that during the prevalence of the cholera in that city, though the Latter-day Saints worked alongside of people who were stricken down with that dreadful disease, not one of their number fell a victim to its ravages. The blessing of the Lord appeared to rest upon the Saints, and through faith they escaped. — Millennial Star 55:51”
