In 1878, while M. A. Freeze was in Pennsylvania, she was summoned home by the dangerous illness of her eight-year-old son, George. The boy possessed great faith in the ordinances of the gospel and requested that President John Taylor administer to him. The message was conveyed to the President, who complied with the request. Following the administration, the boy's condition immediately improved, and he was completely restored to health.
