Brother Harding, a member of the Lambeth Branch, was working as a sewer cleaner when he entered a drain to remove rubbish and was suffocated by foul air. He was brought home for dead, and a doctor pronounced his condition as blood poisoning and strangulation, deeming the case hopeless. Elder Norman administered to him, and he began to recover, eventually resuming his work.

Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 45, No. 50, 10 December 1883, p. 795):

Brother Harding, a member of the Lambeth Branch, was working as a sewer cleaner, and while in the drain removing rubbish, was suffocated by the foul air. He was brought home for dead, and the doctor pronounced his condition as blood poisoning and strangulation, and deemed the case hopeless. Elder Norman administered to him, and he began to recover, and is now able to resume his work.

In Their Own Words

“Several cases of healing by the power of God have occurred through the administration of His servants, one of the most remarkable of which was that of Brother Harding, a member of the Lambeth Branch. While at his daily occupation as cleaner of sewers, he entered a drain for the purpose of removing rubbish that had accumulated there, and became suffocated by foul air. He was dragged out and carried home for dead, and a doctor was sent for, who pronounced it blood poisoning and strangulation, and declared the case was hopeless. Elder Norman was sent for, and he administered to Brother Harding in the name of the Lord Jesus, and from that time he began to recover, and finally resumed his former avocation, and now, with a heart full of praise and thanksgiving to the Most High, declares that it was by the power of God that his life was spared and his health and strength restored. — Millennial Star 45:50”
