Griffith E. Williams's life and death in the mission field

The Millennial Star reports the passing of Elder Griffith E. Williams, who died while serving as a missionary in the British mission on September 24th, 1909. The account notes that while the loss is regretted, the low number of deaths among the many missionaries laboring abroad serves as evidence of the protecting hand of Providence.

DEATH. WILLIAMS.—Elder Griffith E. Williams, of the British mission, died at his home in Wales, on September 24th, 1909, of heart failure. Elder Williams was a faithful missionary, and his death is much regretted by his associates. The low death rate among the many missionaries laboring abroad is a source of great satisfaction, and is evidence of the protecting hand of Providence over those who are engaged in the Master's work.
