During a conference in Vienna, missionaries had secured a Y.M.C.A. hall, but Protestant ministers pressured the hall's management to rescind permission on the day before the conference. Despite this, the elders were neither discouraged nor thwarted. By early the next morning, they searched for and secured a new venue, and the meeting held there was reported to be one of the best of the entire series.
