Fanny Lee, the daughter of a brother named Lee, was suffering from a violent pain in the head and was found by Elder Struthers lying apparently dead. Struthers, moved by the spirit of the Lord, laid his hands upon her in the name of Jesus Christ by the authority of the eternal priesthood and rebuked the disease. She was immediately restored to health and resumed her domestic chores.

In Their Own Words

“On Sunday morning the 13th inst. brother Lee called at my house and asked me if I would come to his house, for his Fanny was dying. She was taken with a violent pain in the head. When I got to his house she was laying apparently dead. The spirit of the Lord was upon me. I laid my hands upon her in the name of Jesus Christ, according to the order of the Church, and by the authority of the eternal priesthood, and rebuked the disease, and she was immediately restored to her health, and straightway went about her domestic business.”
