Elder T. C. Griggs, while traveling through the Herts and Bedfordshire district of the London Conference with Elder Willey, took an opportunity to preach the Gospel in a police court.

Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 42, No. 46, 15 November 1880, p. 731):

Elder T. C. Griggs, writing from the Herts and Bedfordshire district, says:— 'Elder Willey and myself have had the privilege of preaching the Gospel in a police court, and the magistrate and others listened with marked attention.'

In Their Own Words

“His first visit was with brother Willey, and during that time they took every opportunity of preaching the Gospel to the travelers they met, and wherever they had an opportunity. They had the pleasure of once preaching it in a police court. — Millennial Star 42:46”
