Elder Lofter Bjarnason's missionary success in Iceland

During the month of May 1906, Elder Loftur Bjarnason, serving as a missionary in Iceland, reported significant progress in his efforts in Reykjavik. He successfully performed five baptisms and, observing that there were ten sisters residing in the city, proceeded to organize the first Relief Society in that branch. Reporting on the condition of the branch, Elder Bjarnason noted that the Saints were generally faithful in their duties, specifically highlighting that all members of the Reykjavik Branch were diligently paying their tithing. Following these developments, he continued to labor energetically in his mission work.

Elder Loftur Bjarnason, writing from Reykjavik, Iceland, May 22nd, 1906, says: 'I have been very busy of late. I have baptized five persons since I last wrote. There are ten sisters here, and I have organized a Relief Society. The Saints are all paying their tithing and are doing well.'
