Elder L. Suhrke was imprisoned for preaching the Gospel in Hamburg, Germany, for approximately fourteen days. During his confinement, he felt excellent and was comforted by dreams sent by the Lord.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 42, No. 38, 20 September 1880, p. 603):
Elder L. Suhrke, who has been imprisoned for fourteen days in Hamburg for preaching the Gospel, writes that he felt excellent, and was comforted by dreams sent by the Lord.
In Their Own Words
“He says he felt exceliently, and that the Lord comforted him with dreams at night. Knowing that he had committed no crime, but that he was cast into prison for preaching the truth, he felt happy and contented. — Millennial Star 42:38”
