During a district meeting in Grimsby, Elder Jones testified that the Church believes in supernatural manifestations, citing the biblical accounts of God appearing to Moses and Abraham, and the Savior appearing to His apostles and Paul. He used these as evidence that such spiritual experiences are consistent with the restoration of the Gospel by an angel in the latter days.

In Their Own Words

“Elder Jones spoke on the belief of the Latter-day Saints in supernatural manifestations. Joseph Smith claimed to have seen God. The scriptures say He appeared to Moses and to Abraham and the Savior appeared to His apostles, also to Paul. Showed that the times were ripe for the restoration of the gospel and that it had been restored by an angel. — Millennial Star 74:8”
