M. Isabella Horne witnesses the identity of the Prophet Joseph Smith through a specific spiritual manifestation. While not a new account, the issue includes her written confirmation of her witness.
Fuller account of this event (in the witness’s own words):
I had a testimony of the truth of the work, but I wanted to know for myself that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I went to the Lord and asked Him to give me a testimony of this, and He did so in a way that I could not doubt. I was sitting in a meeting, and the Prophet Joseph Smith was speaking. As I looked at him, I saw a light descend upon him, and it seemed to envelop him. I knew then that he was a prophet of God, and I have never doubted it since.
