Divine promptings to missionaries regarding their lodging

“Last Saturday night, as our landlady slept, a voice said to her, 'Mrs. , do not let my servants leave you, for the house wherein they stay, will surely be blessed.' This worried her some, but she concluded it was on account of her talking with us on the Gospel before she went to bed. So she tried to go to sleep again, but the same voice spoke again and said the same words. Once more she tried to forget it, but the same voice repeated the same words the third time. She was unable to sleep any more that night. Sunday morning she came into our room and told us what she had heard. We knew it was the Spirit of the Lord that had spoken to her. We had been thinking of moving to a cheaper room, but after hearing her story we decided to stay. She then told us that she would let us have the room for the summer rate, which is much cheaper than the winter rate. We feel that the Lord is blessing us in our labors here, and we are trying to do our best to get the Gospel before the people.”
