Elder Seymour B. Young reported that at a recent fast meeting, prayers were offered for several sick children. From the hour they were prayed for, the children began to improve and recover.

Fuller account of this event (in the witness’s own words):

He had recently attended a fast meeting, at which a number of children who were sick were prayed for. From that hour they began to amend. In reference to the sick it is our duty to do all we possibly can for them, and trust in God for the result, all power being in His hands. Our faith leads us to call in the Elders to administer to the afflicted, and thus draw upon the mercy of the Lord. My heart has greatly rejoiced to see many of the sick healed.
