Anson Call's autobiography covering 1810-1839 documents multiple instances of divine guidance and miraculous deliverance. Call experienced numerous trials and challenges but was repeatedly guided and preserved through divine intervention. He recorded instances of being counseled by Church authorities not to pursue certain courses, but experiencing disobedience leading to hardship, ultimately learning obedience to God's counsel. His account demonstrates the principle that God guides the faithful through circumstances and consequences.
