Bibliography Research
Following his baptism into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1845 in Newport, Monmouthshire, England, James Caffall fell dangerously ill. He requested the elders of the church to administer to him through the laying on of hands and the prayer of faith. Caffall recorded that he was immediately and miraculously healed by the power of God, an event he cited as his first major physical witness of the power of the priesthood and a foundational testimony for his early faith.
