Bibliography Research
In her final years living in Rockville, Utah, Hannah Terry was the subject of what family and neighbors considered a remarkable providence regarding her physical health. Despite being in her 80s and 90s and living in the harsh, demanding environment of early Southern Utah, she maintained extraordinary physical vitality. The history recorded by Sharp Jones notes that at the age of 90, Hannah possessed such keen eyesight that she could still thread a needle and perform intricate spinning and weaving without the aid of glasses. She attributed this preservation of her faculties and her ability to remain self-sufficient in the desert to a specific priesthood blessing and her lifelong strict adherence to the Word of Wisdom. She remained active and mentally clear until her death at age 92.
