Isaac C. Haight — Inspired Guidance on the Eastern States Mission

While serving a mission in the Eastern States in late 1845, Isaac C. Haight recorded instances of being prompted by the Holy Ghost to adjust his travels. On one specific occasion, he felt a strong, unexplained impression to leave a particular area where he had been preaching. He later felt this prompting had protected him from rising mob sentiment and potential violence following the martyrdom of Joseph Smith.
