William Adams — Miraculous Healing of Son

During the early settlement of the Iron County Mission in Parowan, a young son of William Adams was involved in a catastrophic accident when a heavily loaded wagon ran over his head, crushing his skull. The injury was so severe that the child appeared to be dying and beyond any medical help available at the time. William Adams, a member of the original pioneer company, exercised his faith and administered a Priesthood blessing to the boy. Through this administration, the child experienced a miraculous recovery. The account states that he was restored so completely that no permanent physical or mental impairment remained, and even the visible scars from the crushing weight of the wagon eventually disappeared, which the family and community recorded as a direct manifestation of divine healing.
