Bibliography Research
While serving as a missionary in Denmark in 1861, Jesse Nathaniel Smith experienced divine assistance in his proselytizing efforts. In a letter to Samuel H.B. Smith, he described the remarkable way the Holy Ghost influenced the 'type of people' who were accepting the gospel in Denmark. Despite the challenges of the language and culture, Smith witnessed a significant spiritual harvest and the organization of the mission, which he attributed to the Lord's hand in the mission field. This account is manuscript-sourced from his mission correspondence and journals.
