Richard Heber Benson was a faithful Latter-day Saint of the Benson family, a lineage that from the earliest days of the Restoration has given the Church apostles, pioneers, and faithful households. Named, as many Latter-day Saint sons were, in honor of the great Heber C. Kimball, he carried forward the covenant and the heritage of his family among the Saints in the mountain West. His life is a faith-promoting witness that the Lord's promises to the faithful are honored in the quiet lives of the sons of the covenant, who keep the faith of their fathers in their own generation.
