Mary Beman Noble: A Saint of the Kirtland Camp and the Missouri Expulsion (1810–1851)

Mary Adeline Beman (1810–1851) was a Latter-day Saint pioneer who, with the Noble family, accompanied the Kirtland Camp to Far West, Caldwell County, Missouri, in October 1838—in the very season of the Governor's Extermination Order and the expulsion of the Saints from Missouri. Born in Livonia, Livingston County, New York, she had gathered with the Saints to Kirtland and then walked with the Camp through the sufferings of the Missouri persecution. Sister Beman Noble's life is a faith-promoting witness of the faithful women who, in the hardest season of the early Church, walked with the Saints through Kirtland, Missouri, and on toward Nauvoo.
